Philanthropy
10% of Rosary and Chaplet sales will be donated to the Allentown Diocese Office of Vocations.
The cause to support priests, and most especially those discerning a call to the priesthood, is one that is very near and dear to my heart. I've had the privilege of knowing many young men who have had the faith to sincerely consider God's call to a special discipleship. Some have decided their call was to family or single life, others have gone on to serve monasteries, parishes and seminaries nationwide.
But most special to me is the man who for most of my life has been my confidante, my voice of reason, my inspiration... my brother. Witnessing his faith formation and journey thus far through the seminary has been a blessing to me. Having just a small glimpse into the spiritual, personal and academic struggles of those preparing for the priesthood is enlightening and has renewed my own desire to spend more time and energy discerning God's call for how I can best serve His Church.
About 18 months ago, my brother recommended that I try making twine rosaries to help remedy my struggle with staying focused in my prayers and reflections. I tried it, and it was indeed helpful. As the satisfaction with creating instruments of prayer grew, my desire to combine them with art did also. So it is that thoughtful bit of advice that (through a long and meandering path) brought me to not only With Love from Mom, but also a deeper prayer life and love of the rosary.
I like to give back as directly as possible, so to support my brother and more young men like him who will go on to inspire the masses (no pun intended), I have chosen to donate a portion of my sales to Allentown Diocese Office of Vocations. And whenever time allows between running a home business, being wife, mother, daughter and all else, I will continue to knot twine and donate rosaries to as many missions as will take them!
Thank you for your support of this effort!
Oh, and..... Thanks, Joe! ;)
